Ronnie Moore died on August 2, 2013, a long away from the Kolkata he loved so much, at Perth in Western Australia at the age of 93. It's a testament to his fame that police officers who were not even born when he hung up his boots in 1977, trooped down to pay homage to him at the Lalbazar police HQ. Anglo-Indian MLA Nominations 2013

July 11, 2013.  The Anglo-Indian community has recommended four names to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for choosing a candidate for nomination to the Legislative Assembly from the Anglo-Indian quota.

As per the constitutional provision, an Anglo-Indian has to be nominated to the Assembly to give political representation to this microscopic minority community that in the State.

The four are: Dunstan Smith (an educationist from Bellary), B.C. Vaz (former principal of St. Joseph’s College of Commerce-Bangalore), Lambert Nunes (Youth Congress leader from Belgaum) and Creswell Weightman (youth leader and social worker).

Prince William has Indian DNA

DNA tests have now proved that Prince William has Indian heritage from his Mother's side. Tests on saliva samples from William's relatives reveal a direct link between the future king and a woman who was part-Indian. William will be Britain's first king to have proven Indian ancestry.
